  Enter medical billing data easily through an integrated scheduler that securely uploads your billing information to Valant’s billing department. This provides faster, more accurate claims processing, which means faster reimbursement for your hard work.

• Electronic Claims

  We offer electronic claims processing for faster reimbursement and more accurate claims tracking.

• Accounts Receivable Follow-Up

  We offer persistent and reliable follow-up on unpaid insurance claims and overdue patient balances to keep your days in accounts receivable as low as possible. You can track our performance by using the reporting module.

• Patient Statements

  We generate easy-to-read, customizable statements. These statements clearly differentiate between patient and insurance responsibility; including previous balance, aging, and new balances. The billing process makes it easier for your patients to both read their statements and make their payments, meaning less headaches and stronger collections for you.

• Eligibility & Benefits Checking

  For a small additional fee, we provide eligibility and benefits checks. We know how time consuming these telephone calls to insurance companies can be. We check electronically when possible and make the calls when required so that your claims go through cleanly to maximize your reimbursement.

• Credentialing

  Completing the paperwork for contracting with insurance companies is extremely time-consuming. For a per contract fee, we assist with the paperwork and manage the project of completing a contract so that you and your providers get contracted as efficiently as possible.

• Integration

  The medical billing module is fully integrated with our clinical and document management modules so that you have less data entry. We eliminate redundant data entry wherever we find it to save you precious time.

• Transcription Service

  Valant has a transcription service that works seamlessly with the Electronic Medical Record. You can upload dictated audio-files through the web EMR and edit and sign them when they return from the transcription service. You do not have to dictate transaction or medication information, as these appear automatically in your note. In addition, you can use the power of macros to reduce your transcription time and costs.

• Customized Clinical Document Templates

  Valant offers default document templates for all document types in the Valant EMR. However, you can create customized templates. Simply send us an example of the template that you wish to use and our development team will program the template into your EMR for a small one time fee. This is an example of how our services make the EMR even more powerful and personalized.

• Practice Document Support

  For a small one-time fee, Valant offers a comprehensive package of boilerplate practice documents that can be modified for an individual or group practice. These include privacy policies, practice policies, practice forms such as release of information and demographic intake forms, and commonly used clinical instruments. For a small additional fee, Valant will customize these forms to include practice letterhead and other information that “brands” them for a specific practice.
